Summer Camp Logo Designs, Spring Weekend in Brooklyn, and More!

TGIF!

In the past few weeks, we’ve been working on some logo concepts for the identity of an historic summer camp in upstate New York. We’re having fun creating iconic, vintage camp iconography with a modern twist, and we can’t wait to share the final product. Earth Day was this week, an important reminder that we need to be kind to our mother more than ever. Lindsay captured an awesome shot of a rainbow over Clinton Hill on the occasion!

Link that Inspired Us This Week

  • Wink, a super cool smart-home product with nice icon design
  • The unusual color pairings and bold type in the packaging design for Incredible Masters of Bakery spices

Around the Neighborhood

So much for that nice weather, huh? There are still plenty of spring activities going in Brooklyn, you just might have to take that coat out of storage. This weekend, check out Brooklyn Botanical Garden for Sakura Matsuri, a weekend-long celebration of contemporary Japanese culture. Dance, live music, theatrical performances, a Japanese market, and more will all be taking place among the garden’s cherry blossom trees, which are almost at peak bloom. Sunday is also Greenpointers’ Spring Market, starting at 1pm, with food, lots of craft vedors, and locally made beer and spirits.
