North Brooklyn Pride Fest, Your Memorial Day Weekend, and More!

TGIF

We’re wrapping things up at the studio before the holiday weekend! We spent most of yesterday at CitiField for the Mets vs. Cardinals game, which resulted in a Cardinals loss, much to William’s chagrin. As a grandfatherly looking old man snarked to him on the way out, “Better luck next time…” We’re so excited to be a part of the creative process behind the first ever North Brooklyn Pride Festival, raising awareness for LGBTQ youth in need and celebrating diversity! We created an animated, hand-lettered identity for this, and we’re in the process of developing a website for the Pride Festival as well. Join us on Kickstarter to support this important cause!

Around the Neighborhood

It’s Memorial Day weekend, and if you’re not getting out of the city (look where the Beach Bus can take you!), there is, of course, plenty going on here. Governor’s Island opens tomorrow. Bike through and lounge in their beautiful outdoor areas, learn about the island’s rich history, see the work of their artists-in-residence, snack at their food trucks, and more. If you haven’t noticed, we are also in the midst of Fleet Week, so check out their list of events honoring and educating about our maritime services.
