TGIF!
Don’t get us wrong, walking in the winter wonderland that was the ’14-‘15 season, day after day, was fun and all. But it’s March now, and enough is enough! We’re spending our Friday afternoon working to the fuzzy ‘90s jams of Songza’s “Music from Daria” station and crossing our fingers that this week’s squall was winter’s last hurrah. As we continue gearing up for this year’s Taste of the Lower East Side, we’ve been taking on other exciting locally-based projects as well. This week, we created some illustration elements of brownstones for our an upcoming Brooklyn based art-walk– stay tuned for what’s next!
Links that Inspired Us This Week
- The hysterical stock photos Vince Vaughn and his latest co-stars have posed for (ah, design humor)
- An interesting rebrand for OpenTable
- The latest installment in the Widmer Brothers’s 30 Beers for 30 Years retrospective, featuring bottle designs from ’02-‘07
Around the Neighborhood
Not exactly local, but worth venturing to Manhattan to check out: Tonight is the Guggenheim’s seasonal Art After Dark, where attendants can explore the museum’s exhibitions (and partake in a cash bar) after the general public has cleared out, starting at 9PM! Word got out this week that Bushwick could be getting its own “mini-Smorgasburg” come April. While the outdoor food-fest further down the L line isn’t a definite yet, the folks behind the idea are having another great event this weekend. Head over to the Vinyl Vintage Throwback Weekend at Shwick Market on Saturday and Sunday (3/7-3/8), where you can browse a vast selection of records and vintage clothes while their resident DJ spins old school hits.
As always, connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Behance, and Dribbble. Happy weekend! And don’t forget about DST.
