TGIF!

Despite the weather’s best attempts at stopping her, Lindsay returned from her Southwestern adventure in one piece – bearing gifts! This week, we’ve had some great meetings with new clients while gearing up for Grand St. Settlement’s Taste of the Lower East Side. This tasting event includes offerings from over 50 of NYC’s best restaurants in the Lower East Side, and all proceeds go towards Grand St. Settlement’s programs, benefitting communities on both sides of the Williamsburg Bridge. We’re branding TLES for the third consecutive year, creating new elements like these fresh icons that represent the tenets of this important event. Tickets go on sale in just one week!

Around the Neighborhood

Mapping Brooklyn! This awesome exhibition opened this week and will be on display until May 3rd at the BRIC House Gallery. Juxtaposing the work of contemporary artists working with maps and cartography alongside actual historic maps, the medium and scale of the work varies widely. The historic maps in the exhibition are drawn from the Brooklyn Historical Society’s impressive collection – there are demographic maps, fire insurance maps and more. On Sunday (3/1), celebrate the last day of NYC Beer Week with a brewery crawl of Long Island City’s breweries, all within a mile of one another. Be rewarded for all your hard work and present your stamped beer passport from all 3 breweries for a chance to win prizes.
