Taste of the Lower East Side is an annual community event supporting Grand St. Settlement’s multiple community programs and partnerships, which serve over 10,000 people living on both sides of the Williamsburg Bridge. We’ve proudly branded this event since 2013.
We created a crest logo that’s simultaneously bold, sophisticated, and fun, speaking for the feel of the tasting event and the unique energy of the Lower East Side. Our branding system was designed so that the color palette can be updated each year to differentiate between events. The logo was applied throughout stationery, social media branding and giveaways, collateral, and invitations.
We designed and developed website with custom CMS for Taste of the Lower East Side, featuring information about the event and its history as well as a drop down list of all participating restaurants. Throughout the site, our infographics illustrate what the the event has accomplished, as well as Grand St. Settlement’s impact as an organization. We also took on the environmental design components of this project. Several pieces of signage were designed to be used strategically throughout the event space.
The 14th Annual Taste of the Lower East Side was a complete success. The night at 82Mercer featured samplings from over 50 of the Lower East Side’s best restaurants, a four hour open bar, luxury auction, and great music—all for the benefit of the communities that Grand St. Settlement serves. We’re truly grateful to all the participating restaurants for all their work to make Taste of the Lower East Side possible, and to Grand St. Settlement for their inspiring and successful efforts .
